How Our Patients Pay

Some treatment is covered by insurance and some is not. Where it is not, these are the routes our patients use most often, and you are welcome to combine them however works for your family.

Treatment Financing

Prosper Healthcare Lending specializes in financing medical and fertility treatment. You apply directly with them, not through our office, and you can see your rate before you commit to anything. If you are approved, Prosper sends the money to you, and you pay for your treatment yourself.

Many of our patients also arrange financing through their own bank or credit union, which is worth comparing.

Pre-Tax Health Accounts

We accept payment from a Health Savings Account (HSA), a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) and a Flex Spending Account (FSA). Patients regularly pay with these cards at the front desk.

An FSA or an HRA is setup through your workplace. You may be able to open an HSA on your own at your bank or credit union, though not every insurance plan qualifies, and the account only has money in it once you have funded it yourself. Your bank can tell you whether your plan is eligible, and Ashley is happy to talk it through with you.

If you already have one of these accounts, it is worth checking your balance before your first visit. It is money you have already set aside, and it goes further because it was never taxed.

Cards, Cash and Family

We accept Discover, MasterCard and Visa. Credit card payments carry a 3% surcharge. Debit cards do not, so paying by debit costs you nothing extra. We also take personal checks, cash, and checks written by a family member.

You have the option to use a mix. An HSA card for part of it, a card or a check for the rest, sometimes help from family.

What We Accept

  • Insurance, where your plan covers the service
  • Health Savings Account (HSA)
  • Health Reimbursement Account (HRA)
  • Flex Spending Account (FSA)
  • Debit cards, no surcharge
  • Credit cards (Discover, MasterCard, and Visa) 3% surcharge
  • Personal checks and cash
  • A check written by a family member
  • A combination of any of the above

Financing is deliberately not on that list. Prosper and your own bank lend the money to you, not to us, so the funds reach you and you pay for treatment yourself. It is still one of the most common ways patients cover a cycle, it just is not something we take payment from directly.

Ashley Graham, Office Manager

You Do Not Have to Work This Out Alone

Ashley Graham has been our office manager since 2011, and she works directly with insurance companies, pharmacies and pharmaceutical companies to get patients the best possible outcome. She was an IVF patient herself, so she knows exactly how overwhelming the financial side can feel.

Call the office and ask her what your options look like. There is no charge for that conversation and no obligation to book anything.
